For the past several weeks, we’ve watched Paul confront the cracks in the Corinthian church—divisions fueled by a "celebrity culture" where believers pitted the names of Paul, Apollos, and Cephas against one another. We’ve seen how human wisdom only leads to pride and strife.

This week, we reach a sobering turning point in 1 Corinthians 3:1-9. Paul doesn't just call these divisions a "difference of opinion"; he calls them a tragedy. He identifies the root cause: spiritual immaturity.
