The Divine Call to Nurture
This sermon, titled "The Universal Call to Nurture," explores the biblical concept of nurture as a divine attribute that reflects the character of God in the life of every believer. Drawing from 1 Thessalonians 2:7–8, the message moves beyond strictly biological definitions to show how the sacrificial "mothering" of souls is a spiritual mandate for the entire household of faith—including the single, the childless, and those who have experienced loss. By anchoring our identity in the compassion of God and the nurturing example of Christ, we create a space of honor that validates the grief of the mourning while celebrating the vital role of spiritual legacy in the Kingdom. We conclude with the promise that through the Gospel, every person can find rest and comfort as a "weaned child" in the presence of our Heavenly Father, regardless of our earthly circumstances.
