Leadership

Elders

Our group of elders are godly men who have been chosen to serve as shepherds our church family, combining both leadership authority and humble service in their calling. They are mature believers who meet the qualifications outlined in Scripture, appointed to guide, protect, and care for the spiritual well-being of our congregation. Rather than ruling with an iron fist, our elders lead by example, demonstrating Christ-like character as they make decisions, provide wise counsel, and ensure sound doctrine is taught and practiced. Their role encompasses both the responsibility to lovingly discipline when necessary and the privilege of nurturing believers toward spiritual maturity, always remembering that they themselves are accountable to the Chief Shepherd, Jesus Christ.

"Be shepherds of God's flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock" (1 Peter 5:2-3)

Evangelists

Our two evangelists are servants called to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ and equip the saints for the work of ministry. They serve as messengers of the gospel, dedicated to both reaching the lost with the message of salvation and building up believers in their faith. Our evangelists work alongside the elders in teaching, preaching, and pastoral care, helping to strengthen the church's foundation in biblical truth while actively engaging in outreach to the community. Their ministry encompasses both the public proclamation of God's Word and the personal discipleship of individuals, always seeking to present every person mature in Christ through faithful exposition of Scripture and compassionate pastoral guidance.

"And he gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the shepherds and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ" (Ephesians 4:11-12)

Mitch Davis

Mitch and his wife have been married since 1993 and our gracious Lord gifted them with seven children and four grandchildren. He became a Christian at the age of 20 years old and has been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ since 1991. During this time God has allowed him the opportunity to travel to places like Ukraine, Colombia, Ecuador, Haiti, Mexico and Peru to share the Amazing Grace of our Almighty God and to spread the Good News of His risen Christ!

Mitch and his family came to Franklin in 2010 and has served the Nashville metro area in jails, prisons, and walked the streets meeting every type of person you can imagine with the hope of Jesus.
