I am the vine you are the branches - large

Listen to the Sermon / Download the PowerPoint

Without Jesus we are nothing and in fact can do nothing that will bring about fruit that glorifies God. Yet, in Christ, God works in our lives to ever bring Him fruit that not only is abundant but allows for non-believers to glorify God.

    Dear Brethren,

As members of the church of Christ, would God discount a prayer if it is not audible or spoken out loud but instead prayed in our minds to Him? I hope I made myself clear with that question. Thank you in advance for your help in the Word with my question. God bless you!

    Hi Sister Ford,

I’m not sure I understand your question. Would you please restate what you’re asking. Thanks!

I need your assistance again. Will you please comment on this scripture, break it down, to help me understand or come to a better understanding of what it means, maybe give an example to clarify if you will:

To the WEAK I became WEAK, that I might win the WEAK; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.

    1 Corinthians 9:22 NASB

Thank you so much. God bless you.

    Hello Sister Ford,

Sorry to get back so late, we’re making some transitions and it has caused some complications to our site the last few months.

“To the WEAK I became WEAK, that I might win the WEAK; I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.” 1 Cor. 9:22 NASB

What the apostle Paul was trying to say throughout 1 Corinthians chapter 9 is that he tried to meet people where they were at in their lives. So, to a person who was Jewish, he tried to understand them from their Jewish mindset, and thus able to RELATE to them better as he shared the gospel to them. The with a person with a “LAW” mindset or a “GENTILE” mindset, etc. That is why he said “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some.” (v. 22). I hope this helps.
