In “pointing to Jesus” the Old Testament is full of shadows and figures. One of them is the Nazarite vow which reveals the true and total commitment to God. Sounds like the life of a faithful Christian!

Does the New Testament reveal a law(s) constituting what “modestly dressed” looks like or is the standard the hidden person of the heart?

Paul wrote to the church at Colossae and dealt with the immorality by a number of the saints. The flip-side were those who imposed their own beliefs and practices upon other Christians of which the apostle says “have an appearance of wisdom in self-imposed religion, false humility, and neglect of the body, but are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh” (Colossians 2:23).

Those who want God’s fellowship must long for Him (by faith) and live in such a manner so as to be His holy dwelling place.

Sometimes we have problems or concerns with others, maybe even believe those problems to be in fact sinful. How do you handle these situations? What did Jesus teach? Jesus gives answers to these questions and just as importantly, His authority when you handle things His way.

It doesn’t matter what your lot in life is filled with, nope it doesn’t. You can have all the pleasure you want, work and gain all the riches this life has to offer, or have all the wisdom this world has ever seen… it simply doesn’t matter. Unless, that is, that your life is all about God.

There are at least three undeniable qualities about those who bring others to Jesus. 1) An intense love for God with a conviction that Jesus is the Christ, 2) They love their neighbor, and 3) they are a polarizing effect upon the world

Whether we lack integrity or are well-intentioned Christians, we fail to always keep our promises. Not so with God! And because He is faithful we can rest assured that our Savior, Jesus Christ will come back and bring us into eternal salvation… because God promised!
