From eternity’s perspective, our lives without God/Christ is “worthless”. Nonetheless, while we are dead and worthless, we are made worthy so that we can walk worthy in Christ. This is Good News to all, especially those who do not feel worthy as Christians!
Do you “know” God? Let’s find out!
Christians live in an era where shouting and riots seem to be the course of action for the real and perceived threats to human rights. What Christians need to be concerned with is sharing the gospel and leading a quiet life.
Christians, you’ve been given “all things that pertain to life and godliness” in the way of talents (or, minas in the case of this parable). The question is, what are you doing with what you’ve been given? Know this, those who bear fruit (make more minas) will be given so much more than could ever be imagined!
We live in a society where shouting or throwing tables is equivalent to someone who has lost “self-control” and equates such displays of anger as sinful. So, can Christians display righteous anger and if so what does that look like?
There are great ramifications “if the dead are not raised”… as in “eat, drink, and be merry for tomorrow we die.” So, are the dead raised as some insist?
Believe it or not, it’s not Christians living upside down lives, but the dark world we live in.
Among those professing to be Christians, it seems like the phrase – “God called me…”, or something like it – has taken on popularity. How this phrase is used today compared to a biblical “calling” is not the same. That said, is there another way of getting the sentiment across, and if so, how?
Life… it happens. But, how do you deal with it? More importantly, do you deal with it through godly wisdom? Sometimes, its these simple reminders that keep Christians “in Christ”.
